ExperienceI enjoy tutoring many subjects, and my favorites are English and History. I also enjoy teaching Math, Writing, Reading, American Sign Language, US Government, and World History. I earned my bachelor's degree in Communications Disorders from California State University-Los Angeles, and plan to become a speech language pathologist. I am a patient teacher and will help any student who has a willingness to learn. I've volunteered with hospital Speech Language Pathologists since 2006, helping teenagers and young adults with brain injuries complete their classwork. Many students are completely starting over in school, because their brain injuries have left them with an inability to remember their past class studies. I am proud to say that I earned the Volunteer of the Year award in 2008 due to my dedication to helping lead these patients to renewed success in their studies. I also have experience tutoring gifted students who qualify to take classes more advanced than their peers. I help these gifted students attending middle school and high school to prepare for advanced placement tests and to master college-level assignments. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy reading and rock climbing.
